Medieval Sex Dungeon Design Ideas: Stone, Steel, and Seduction

When I think of the type of person who wants to build a medieval sex dungeon, I imagine the visage of the ultimate sadist. You must be. BDSM equipment inspired by the Spanish Inquisition? How much more sadistic does it get?

Or maybe you're the submissive with one hell of a hard-on for the cruelty of the Middle Ages. All are welcome here. 

Take a gander: is the above a sex dungeon or no? It certainly could be. But alas, it is the Medieval Torture Museum in Saint Augustine. What great inspiration for our interior design project!

We want to take the key elements of what we see here: stone walls, wooden frames, and heavy chains, all to create an environment of pain (& maybe some pleasure).

I've put together a list of everything you need to get your medieval fantasy underway, so enough with the chatter, let's make your sex dungeon ideas come to life.

Chandeliers by BlackSeaLighting

The centerpiece of the ceiling is your chandelier, and when in need of the echoes of a medieval torture chamber, I could think of none better than BlackSeaLighting. Artisanally handcrafted wrought iron comes together in spikes, swirls, and rustic wooden styles that mimic the Middle Ages.

All chandeliers are designed by Nikola Kostov, whose collection spans everything from castle-ready ring chandeliers to wood-and-iron hybrids that look straight out of a dark fairytale.

Sconces

The chandelier takes care of the center, but you'll want to illuminate the walls surrounding it to view all subjugation taking place.
